The Technical Services Committee has decided to grant Prologis a site reservation comprising an area of approximately 100,000 m² within Malmö Industrial Park in Northern Harbour. Prologis is planning to establish a logistics facility in the area.
Prologis is a leading global company that develops and leases logistics facilities to companies operating within sectors including the manufacturing industry, retailing, transport and third party logistics. Prologis offers modern, cost-effective logistics facilities in good locations.
Northern Harbour and Malmo Industrial Park (MIP) is a landfill site providing a substantial area for businesses engaged in trimodal transportation and processing, and with a connection to the port.
“MIP (Malmö Industrial Park) is located directly adjacent to CMP (Copenhagen Malmö Port), which is a full-service port handling all types of ships and freight. MIP offers new opportunities for Malmö to develop modern logistics solutions in a unique location”, says Magnus Alfredsson, project manager for Malmö Industrial Park.

Facts about site reservation (Prologis)
- Local plan, Dp 5203, is expected to become legally valid in May 2015.
- Prologis’ reservation comprises a site of approx. 100,000 m² and it constitutes part of the area for Malmö Industrial Park within the property Hamnen 22:164.
- The site reservation is valid until 31.12.15. Prior to that, Prologis and the municipality have to conclude a contract of sale or a lease agreement ratified by the Technical Services Committee no later than December 2015.
Facts about Malmö Industrial Park
- The first site reservations were made during 2014, including one by Skanska, which reserved 35,000 m² for a warehouse.
- The local plan was ratified by the City Planning Committee in December.
