Digitalisation and sustainability are among the themes at this year’s logistics trade fair in Malmö. Obviously, Malmö City and Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) will also be on site to present Malmö Industrial Park.
”This is a local logistics trade fair, so we naturally want to take the opportunity to talk about the large logistics areas that are currently under development here in Malmö”, says Olle Anderberg, project manager at the Real Estate and Highways Department in Malmö City.
“Ready To Go” is one of the key concepts surrounding the industrial park. It concerns how quickly and simply establishments can be implemented.
”Yes, there is a short implementation period for new establishments. The local plan for the area is completed and we have generally worked to make the process simple. It makes it possible to take possession just six months after signing the contract”, he says.
Companies which establish themselves are presented with a logistics area where all infrastructure is in place, including a direct connection to the motorway network via Spillepengen.
A complete transport network
The industrial park’s strategic location in close proximity to the port in Malmö is also something from which the tenants can derive major benefit.
”It gives them access to a complete logistics network, with road, rail and sea freight in directly connection to the area”, reports Ann-Charlotte Halldén Åkeson, Key Account Manager at CMP.
”CMP’s own range of services is also close to hand, which we can always adapt according to the companies’ needs for transportation, storage and other handling”, she says.
Logistics & Distribution is held on 6 – 7 February at Malmömässan Exhibition and Congress Centre. Ann-Charlotte Halldén Åkeson and Olle Anderberg will be presenting the industrial park on Thursday 7 February between 09.00 and 09.30 at what is called Stage 3.
