This year marks the seventeenth year that the City of Malmö and Copenhagen Municipality, together with business representatives, will present and promote themselves at MIPIM, the international real estate and investment fair in Cannes, France.
The participation aims to highlight the Copenhagen – Malmö region’s qualities and strengths in an international context in order to attract investment and business to the Öresund region.
Sustainable development and wise growth
The joint stand is this year focusing on sustainable development and wise growth. Some 50 companies involved in the construction and real estate industry from both sides of the Öresund are exposed and marketed. We aim to be a model for how to generate growth in harmony with people, the environment and surroundings. Environmentally friendly construction, use of new technology, high architectural standard and alternative energy is some of the important factors when cities of the future emerge in harmony with the people, the environment and surroundings.
Emporia nominated for MIPIM Awards

• UN City (Copenhagen) – Best Office and City Development

Facts
MIPIM is the world’s largest real estate and investment fair. MIPIM stands for Le Marché International des Professionnel de l’ Immobilier and is held annually in Cannes , France. This year the fair is held from 11 to 14 March, with about 20 000 participants from about 80 countries. The City of Malmö sends 20 delegates.
The City of Malmö has participated in MIPIM every year since 1998. The participation is a collaboration between Malmö, Copenhagen and participants from the business community on both sides of the strait and we are presented at a common Copenhagen Malmo Region stand.
